The aim of the design was to craft a form that would rest comfortably in a person’s hand, in various holding positions. For inspiration I explored concave shapes and carved forms to integrate into my concept. I focused on incorporating curves to shape the overall form of my design. Transitioning from one material to another, I started by shaping a clay form, then gradually refined my design using wood to craft the final piece.
